MHI Patient Carrier: The Big ReBuild (2023)
The original MHI Patient Carrier was chosen as the 2023 Big ReBuild, as a result of polling visitors at four separate events.
While respecting the original Creation's form and functionality, the ReBuild is significantly larger and includes a number of new features: a dedicated chair for the patient, an accessibility ramp, tools for the staff and movable vehicle controls.
Along with the use of teal/Dark Turquoise to add colour, the redesigned vehicle has rounded corners and details.
A regression occurred with the redesigned mudguards, which interfere with the wheels moving and prevent the vehicle being “swooshable”.
Did you know..?
The ReBuild was dedicated to the memory of those who lost their lives as a result of going to university. This is a reference to my fictional novel inspired by my university experiences, from which the concept of this vehicle came.
